The experience
A 7-day journey linking Nujiang Grand Canyon, First Bend of the Nujiang River and Shiyueliang Mountain, with time for the places between the headline sights.
The Nujiang Grand Canyon is a long inhabited river corridor between major mountain ranges, best understood through a staged northbound road journey.
Near Bingzhongluo, the Nujiang makes a broad horseshoe-shaped turn around farmland and village slopes, seen from established viewpoints above the river.
Shiyueliang is recognised for a natural opening high in a rock face above the Nujiang valley near Fugong.
Your route: Liuku → Bingzhongluo → Fugong. The final proposal confirms each transfer and overnight base.
This is a suggested itinerary. The order can be adjusted around your arrival time, walking preferences and confirmed access, with a personal quotation before you book.

Travel details
Getting here and getting around
The sightseeing plan starts in Liuku and finishes in Fugong. Agree your arrival station, airport or hotel before booking; these meeting points are not interchangeable. Local attraction and village access is by the road and visitor routes confirmed for your dates.
Your proposal should list each road stage, the actual overnight base and any scenic-area transport. Drive times depend on the route and conditions, so avoid adding a tight flight or rail connection after a remote visit.
When to travel
The drier months are a useful starting point for a valley journey. Summer rain may disrupt mountain roads, so remote stages need flexibility.
Stays and meals
This 7-day plan allows for 6 overnight stays: Liuku (3 nights); Bingzhongluo (2 nights); Fugong (1 night). These are suggested bases, subject to the agreed route and property availability.
Choose your preferred accommodation style and room configuration before a quotation is prepared. Breakfasts, other meals and dietary requests are itemised, with time for local food where it fits the day.
What your quotation covers
Ask for an itemised quotation covering the guide, agreed transfers, admission tickets, scenic-area transport, accommodation and meals you want included. A suggested experience is confirmed only when it appears in the final proposal.
International and onward travel, optional activities, personal purchases and unlisted meals are additional unless expressly included. Your dates, group size, room choices and service level determine the quotation; no fixed package price is implied.
Useful to know before you go
- Nujiang Grand Canyon: The canyon is a region rather than one ticketed viewpoint; several days are needed to travel its length.
- First Bend of the Nujiang River: View from public overlooks; do not descend unstable banks for a closer photograph.
- Shiyueliang Mountain: The distant landmark can be viewed from below; reaching the opening is not part of an ordinary roadside visit.
